A versatile midfielder born in Zadar, where he started his career in NK Zadar's academy. In 2014 he left Zadar to join Hajduk's academy. Due to a disagreement with the club, he didn't renew his scholarship contract & in 2017 he joined Dinamo Zagreb at the age of 15.
He is currently bouncing back and forth between Dinamo's U19 team and Dinamo Zagreb II in the Druga HNL.
Prva HNL U19 (20/21) - 6 starts / 4 goals / 2 assists
Druga HNL (20/21) - 0 starts (4 off-bench) / 1 assist
Typical box-to-box midfielder, usually plays as the second most advanced midfielder in a midfield-3. Can also play as an attacking midfielder in a 4-2-3-1. Hardworking - contributes to both defence and the attack. Great dribbling skills and ball control.
Has very a impressive passing vision which allows him to pick out passes that others can't see. Fairly pacey for his height also (1.81m). He's never afraid of jumping in a tackle & has decent def. positioning. He's a great goalscorer as well with his impressive long shots.
He's also a regular in the Croatia's youth national teams.
Croatia U17 - 11 caps / 3 goals
Croatia U19 - 4 caps
Excited to see him develop further. He's turning 19 in June so I hope he doesn't feature for the U19 team anymore and goes straight in the B team. Zdravko Mamić briefly mentioned that he is going to get promoted to the first team next season but I wouldn't take his word on it.
