Rocco Žiković

Rocco Žiković is a product of Istra 1961's academy. He won the Croatian First League U15 championship with Istra's U15s while captaining the team in the 2019/2020 season.

His main position is centre-back but he also played as a defensive midfieilder in the past, which developed his techincal skill to become a proper modern centre-back.

In January 2021, he moved to RB Salzburg on a record breaking transfer for a 16-year-old. RBS paid 2 million Euros. 1 million paying in January and the other 1 million in the summer. Istra also gets 700 thousand Euros if Žiković debuts for the first team.

RB Salzburg scouts noticed him in the 'Vlatko Marković' (U15 international) tournament in Osijek where he captained Croatia U15 to the trophy and won the best player award.

Since January 2021, he played a couple of games for RB Salzburg U18 because he was recovering from a surgery that he underwent last year.
